Here you’ll find important information, resources, forms, and links to help your family stay informed and connected throughout the school year.
Standard Drop Off (7:45-8:00 AM)
- TK-5th
- Enter campus from Severin Drive using the rear driveway.
- Drop students off at the playground gate.
- Exit by driving behind the school and along the east side of the building.
- Jr. High
- Drop students off in front of the Jr. High Annex.
- Students should proceed directly to the lounge.
Early Drop-Off (7:00–7:45 AM)
- Drop students off at the front entrance of the main building.
- Students should enter through the east entrance and report directly to the Activity Center (Room 20).
Late Arrival (after 8:00 AM)
- Students must first check in at the main office.
- Students will be marked present and issued a classroom admission pass before proceeding to class.
Rainy Day Drop-Off
- TK-5th
- Drop off at the front entrance of the main building.
- Jr. High
- Drop off at the Jr. High Annex.
Standard Pick-Up (Scheduled by grade)
- Pick up students at the gate behind the main school building.
- Enter campus from Severin Drive and exit along the east side of the building.
- To help maintain efficient traffic flow, please arrive at your child’s scheduled dismissal time.
- If you arrive early, either:
- Park in a designated parking space, or
- Continue driving around the building until dismissal time.
Late Pick-Up
- TK-5th
- Pick up on playground or in main building
- Jr. High
- 3:30-4:30 pick up at the Jr. High Bannex.
- 4:30-5:00 pick up on playground or in main building
Rainy Day Pick-Up
- TK-5th
- Students will be dismissed from the front entrance of the main building.
- Jr. High
- Students will be dismissed from the Jr. High Annex
- Rainy Day Traffic Flow
- Enter via Severin Drive.
- Drive behind the school and turn right after passing the Dialysis center.
- Pull up to the front of the main building.
- Staff will escort students to vehicles and assist with passenger-side loading.
- Exit via Severin Drive.
Transportation Changes
Any changes to a student’s dismissal arrangements must be communicated to the school office before dismissal.

Please notify us as early as possible so we can ensure your child is properly informed and supervised.
Student Release Policy
Students may only be released to:
- Parents/guardians, or
- Individuals authorized by a parent or guardian.
If someone other than a parent is picking up a student:
- The school must be notified before dismissal.
- The authorized individual must be 18 years or older.
- Photo identification may be required.
Child Custody Arrangements
- The school follows written court orders regarding custody restrictions.
- Students will not be released to individuals prohibited by court order.
- Only official written court documentation will be honored.
Mt. Helix Academy’s Extended Care program provides a safe, structured, and engaging environment for students before and after school. From supervised study halls to recreational activities and supervised free play, our program is designed to support students and provide flexibility for families.

If you anticipate being late for pick-up or need to communicate a change regarding after-school care, please contact us as soon as possible. During after-school hours, the Extended Care number is the best way to reach staff directly.
Program Hours & Fees
- Before School Care
- Hours: 7:00 AM–7:45 AM
- Location: Main building entrance (closest to the Dialysis center)
- Please ring the doorbell and a staff member will assist your child.
- After School Care
- Regular School Days: 3:15 PM–5:00 PM
- Minimum Days: 12:00 PM–5:00 PM
- Fees
- $10.00 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments.
- Students not picked up at dismissal will be signed into the after-school program.
- Families will be charged $2.00 per minute for any pick-up occurring after 5:00 PM.
3rd-5th
- The first 45 minutes of after-school care consists of a supervised study hall where students may work quietly on homework and assignments.
Jr. High
- A supervised study hall is available from 3:30 PM–4:30 PM in the Jr. High Annex.
- Led by a Jr. High teacher
- Homework assistance available as needed
- Designed to support independent study habits and academic success
