Throughout the year, our school community comes together for events that help students and families connect, have fun, and create lasting memories. Whether it is a family night, school celebration, fundraiser, or special tradition, these moments bring people together and help make our campus feel welcoming and connected.
Many of these events are made possible through the support of our Parent-Teacher Group (PTG), a dedicated group of parents who help strengthen the connection between families and the school community. From organizing events and supporting classrooms to volunteering at activities and fundraising efforts, the PTG plays an important role in creating meaningful experiences for students.
Families are encouraged to get involved in ways that fit their schedules and interests — whether volunteering at an event, helping behind the scenes, attending meetings, or simply showing up to support the community. We believe that when families are involved, students feel even more connected, supported, and encouraged.
At Mt. Helix Academy, community is not just something we talk about — it is something our families experience.

The Parent Teacher Group (PTG) is a cornerstone of the Mt. Helix Academy community, reflecting the school’s strong spirit of collaboration and connection between families and faculty. Through their time, energy, and creativity, PTG volunteers play a vital role in enhancing the student experience both inside and outside the classroom.
Parents contribute in ways that fit their schedules and strengths – whether serving hot lunch, supporting classrooms as Room Parents, participating in meetings, organizing events, or contributing resources. Throughout the year, the PTG brings the community together through beloved traditions such as the Halloween Carnival, Fall Feast, Multicultural Fair, and other engaging events, while also raising funds to support important school programs, classroom resources, and student experiences.
Their involvement not only enriches daily school life but also helps create lasting memories and a vibrant, supportive environment where every child can thrive.
